According to CBS News, country music legend George Jones was hospitalized today in Nashville, after an upper respiratory infection caused him to cancel a show in downstate Illinois this weekend.

The 80 year old performer is said to “have a chest cold” and will remain hospitalized overnight.

While the news is good in regards to his recovery, fans and country music artists have taken to Twitter to share their well wishes, such as Rodney Atkins.
