Jason Aldean will be coming to Chicago on Saturday, August 18th at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheater, bringing the My Kinda Party Tour 2012, but first gave Lisa & Ray a call to to not only talk about the music, but to talk about what he likes to do in his off-time and to better acquaint you with his dancing opening act, Luke Bryan.
When not on the stage playing to sold out amphitheaters, Jason likes the peace and tranquility of hunting close to home.
“My favorite thing to do is hunt. I was actually hunting this morning. We were turkey hunting. I actually went over to Luke Bryan’s farm, he just bought a farm here in Nashville and its about 15 minutes from my house and its loaded with turkey so we were over there turkey hunting,” he said. As for whether it was a successful morning or not, Jason did say he “got a big double beard this morning, so it was fun”.
When conversation turned to Luke, his opening act two tours running, it was finally time to find out about this “mystery tattoo” that everyone is talking about.
“I think he has his wife’s initials on one of his ass cheeks!”
So, how does he know for sure?
“He was out on tour with me when he got it. You know, after you get a tattoo, when they start to heal they itch, and you want scratch it. Well, he kept complaining about it and i was like ‘what is wrong with you’ and he told me ‘he got a tattoo’ and then proceeded to pull one of his ass cheeks out and I could see her initials on it!”
As for Luke dancing, which is famous with the ladies when out on the road, Jason seems to think he may need some help.
“It is kinda of new thing he has adopted here in the last year, and I think like when he’s on stage he starts swiveling around and you know all the girls start going crazy, so i think that just adds fuel to the fire.”
While it seems to work for Luke, Jason has seen enough.
“To all the women out there, stop encouraging that, please.”
If that doesn’t work there is a back-up plan for Luke’s dancing skills, “maybe that is what I will get him at the end of the tour: a choreographer,” Jason said.
