Nashville Hotline: Brad Paisley, Self-Proclaimed “Dork In The Desert,” Caught Up In Bromance With Carrie Underwood’s Hubby!

The CMA Fest is underway in Nashville, which kicked off with the CMT Awards last night. And we knew it was going to be a good show when hosts Toby Keith and Kristen Bell made their entrance in a giant red Solo cup!

Other highlights included Carrie Underwood‘s win for her Good Girl music video.

And, she won the very first award of the night with fellow collaborator Brad Paisley honoring their video for Remind Me. But Carrie wasn’t too thrilled when her husband Mike Fisher decided to hug Brad first!

“Did you see my husband,” Carrie Underwood asked the crowd, “hug him first?!”

Before she could name who she wanted to thank she gave Brad a hard time. “Get up here. Are you scared of me?” to which he quickly replied, “Yes.”

Carrie then thanked the fans, followed by Brad thanking, “this beautiful woman [Carrie] for being in the video, otherwise it’s just a dork walking through the desert. So thank you for being the eye candy of the video.”

As for the “bromance” that might have been interpreted by the hug between Brad and Mike: “My wife at home,” Brad addressed Kimberly Williams-Paisley, “there’s nothing going on with me and Mike. Nothing.”

“Not yet,” Carrie chimed in.

It was also an exciting night for country newbie Scotty McCreery who took home the award for breakthrough video.

Also on the winners list were Miranda Lambert (Female Video, Over You), Luke Bryan (Male Video, I Don’t Want this Night to End), and Thompson Square (Duo Video, I Got You).
