First, he was on stage in front of millions of TV viewers as he competed week after week on last year’s American Idol.

Then, he won the show, toured the country with his fellow Idol contestants, followed by a tour with Brad Paisley taking him to new stages night after night.

Now, Scotty McCreery conquered yet another stage: he graduated high school, walking across the stage to pick up his diploma!

What are his post-high school plans? He wants to enroll at North Carolina State this year.  In the short-term though, he’s coming to the House of Blues on June 17th, and we’re giving away tickets for that show all next week on US99.5!

The concert that’s on everyone’s mind, however, is the big Brad Paisley show at Wrigley Field this Saturday! Supporting are Miranda Lambert, The Band Perry, Chris Young, and Jerrod Niemann. We’ll see you there! And don’t forget to come by early for our pre-concert party!

The music doesn’t stop after Brad’s done, because Thomas Rhett will perform at Joe’s Bar Saturday night. Right now though, he’s in Nashville for the CMA Music Fest, and he tells us how amazed he is at his progress.

“Last year was different,” Rhett explains of being at the CMA Fest. “I was freshly signed to a record deal. I think I played a couple shows and got to sign at the booth and stuff, but this year’s like getting to walk the carpet. And then my first fan club party, and I get to play the Riverfront stage this year.”

He goes on to say that “it’s all just cooler now… I’m doing more stuff than I’ve always dreamed about doing. I’m just very pumped and blessed to be here.”

Two of country’s biggest stars have been blessed with the opportunity to be on the cover of the latest issue of People Country: Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.

It never gets old seeing those two together, does it?
