Country bad boy Jason Aldean got into it with a police officer after he was ticketed for swimming in a beach that was flagged. He took to his Twitter account calling the officer “Barney Fife” but later tweeted that he respects all law enforcement. He was just “bitter.”
Bitter is the last word to describe Faith Hill who has yet to release a duet album with her husband Tim McGraw. She reassures us that it WILL happen.
“We are married,” Faith explains,” we live together, it’s kind of inevitable that that will happen.”
The real question is when will that happen?
“The truth is,” Faith confesses, “it’s not something that’s on the schedule right now. I look forward to the opportunity someday to do a record with my husband because, ya know, he’s my husband.”
Until that duets album comes out, we’ll just have to settle for Faith’s next album which is due out later this year. And anybody who saw her perform at the CMA Music Fest over the weekend heard her debut two new songs: Overrated and Illusion.
And we know quite a few people heard those new songs because the CMA Fest broke its attendance records yet again! 71,000 people attended daily. And the concerts sold out for the third year in a row.
Not everyone had a good time at the CMA Fest, however. David Nail sustained a fracture and detached tendon during the charity softball game. He’s scheduled to meet with a surgeon this week.
Today look for new music from Josh Turner (Punching Bag) and Eden’s Edge (Eden’s Edge).
