It’s been about a year since Brooks & Dunn’s Last Rodeo Tour ended and the duo stepped off the stage together for the last time, but according to Kix Brooks there is no love lost between the pair.
“I talked to Ronnie (Dunn) yesterday, as a matter of fact”, Kix told Lisa & Ray.
While the duo remain amicable, rumors still swirl that the pair do not get along, in fact the word “hate” has also been thrown around, and while Kix didn’t deny the negative feelings, there is still “something” between the two.
“We do (hate each other), but we still talk to each other, and go on vacation and go hunting together. if you don’t (hate each other) everyone will say you do, so you might as well admit it,” Kix said.
You can catch Kix Brooks tonight, performing his new hit single, “New To This Town” at Joe’s Bar, but Kix is definitely not new to Chicago, or Joe’s, for that matter.
“I’ve got the best band I have ever been blessed with playing with me right now. We are having so much fun playing a lot of smaller venues and clubs like Joe’s Bar. I gotta tell you, Nashville, for performers, this place is famous, everybody cant wait to get up here, its a great venue.”
Tickets are on-sale now for tonight’s show. The doors open at 7pm for the 8pm show and you must be 21 years of age or older to attend.
