Trace Adkins stopped by the station this morning, ahead of show at the Rialto Theatre in Joliet, to talk to Lisa & Ray and to also plug his wife’s 30 Year High School Reunion from Hersey High School. Say what?

While the subject matter of the interview began about his upcoming show, the topic quickly moved to his Twitter account and more importantly his very first tweet (which also happened to be a photo of his rear)!

When pressed on the issue of social media, Trace hasn’t stopped tweeting, he is just giving it a break, saying “I didn’t quit. I just don’t do it as much as I did.”

Lisa then fired a few questions at him, one in particular covering the last time he cried.

“We were doing one of those GAC, “Great American Heroes” shows, and we were in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and I was talking to this guy who founded this organization called Paws With A Cause and he just tore me up. He and his wife started this thing 33 years ago and then she died a month ago, and two days before she died, she found out were were coming to do the show about them and the thing that they founded, because they’re heroes and then she died, but he still wanted to go forward and to the show because he knew it meant so much to her. He choked me up.”

You can catch Trace Adkins performing his latest song, “Them Lips”, at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, tonight.
