Jerry Greer’s Body Has Been Found After Tubing Accident

We’re heartbroken to have to report this news.

According to PEOPLE, Jerry Greer’s body has been found.

The 19-year-old son of country singer Craig Morgan went missing after a tubing accident on Sunday, July 10th.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Craig’s rep confirmed the devastating news:

“It is with deep sadness that I am confirming the passing of Jerry Greer, son of country music entertainer Craig Morgan and wife Karen Greer.”

“The Humphreys County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Deptartment recovered his body this evening after a search that began Sunday following a boating accident on Kentucky Lake in Tennessee. A 2016 graduate of Dickson County High School, Jerry planned to play football for Marshall University in the fall.”

“The family is grateful for the outpouring of support and requests prayers at this time as they privately mourn this terrible loss. Jerry is survived by parents Craig and Karen

Greer, sister Aly Beaird and brother-in-law Ryan Bearid, brother Kyle Greer and fiancĂ©e Chelsea Rogers and brother Wyatt Greer.”

Jerry did not emerge after his tube hit a wave, causing him to fall into the water. He was wearing a life jacket.

Authorities have not commented on why the life jacket failed to bring Jerry to the surface.

The US99*5 family’s thoughts and prayers are with Craig and his family.
