We’re trying to stay patient while we wait for Netflix to release the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life later this year, so any information on the revival makes us VERY excited!
Melissa McCarthy was awarded the Gilda Radner Award for Innovation in Comedy at Gilda’s Club at New York City at Gildafest’16 this week, and opened up about the return of our favorite Stars Hollow characters while talking to E! at Gildafest’16.
“Amy Sherman-Palladino gets to finish it the way she always saw in her head,” McCarthy said of the show’s revival. “When else do you get a chance to do that? I mean, the odds are so ridiculous. You don’t get to redo your ending like that. I think it’s a great idea. I think it’s the right time to do it and I think people are going to be really happy with it,”
As for the four final words, Melissa said, “She’s not going to tell me!”
I guess we’ll all have to wait…!
