“You want intimidation, i’ll show you intimidation.”
Sorry Chad, Michael is not intimated.
If you were watching the Olympics last night, you may have not seen this moment in the ready room.
But really, you need to go back 4 years to understand the clip (above).
Michael Phelps is a pretty good swimmer (if you didn’t know). So in the 2012 Olympics, Phelps lost the 200 butterfly, which he holds the world record in, to South Africa’s Chad le Clos.
Now, cut to last night (Monday), when the two were in the ready room before the semi-finals of the 200 butterfly. Le Clos decided he would try to intimidate Phelps with some boxing/dance moves.
And Michael’s face says it all!
After the semi-final, where Phelps came in 2nd and Le Clos in 3rd, he was asked about the pre-race moment.
“Everyone has their own race strategy. If that’s his, that’s his.”
Clearly I’ll be on my feet watching the final which takes place tonight!
