Winnetka’s Conor Dwyer had an incredible swim at the Olympics last night.
Winning his first medal in an individual event, the bronze medal in the 200 freestyle, he was only .03 behind the silver medal winner, Chad le Clos of South Africa.
But the .02 difference didn’t upset Conor, who was excited to make it onto the podium.
“That’s been a goal of mine for a long time and to do that feels like a dream come true,” Dwyer said on his race. “I put in so much hard work. I’m glad to finally see it pay off here on the biggest stage.”
