Parenthood fans, rejoice!!
Series creator, Jason Katims, was asked about a Parenthood revival at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, and he seems to be keeping an eye on the perfect timing to bring back the fan-favorite show that had us crying every.single.episode.
“There’s nothing happening right now, but when the time is right I would love to revisit it,” Katims said of reuniting the show with fans.
He also said that he’s watching, and asking questions, about how the Gilmore Girls revival (which Lauren Graham also stars in) came together.
“I asked someone who was working on it [Gilmore Girls revival] how they structured it and how it all worked,” he said. “Because I was thinking that might happen [with Parenthood] down the road a few years.”
He also talked about where he saw the show going in a possible revival.
“It would start at the moment when I feel like I have a story to tell,” he explained. “But the whole thing about Parenthood is the kids get a little older and their lives change and then there’s more story to tell. I feel like that will happen at some point. And then it will be a question of, logistically, can we get the actors [back together] at the same time? And then we have to [find an outlet] that wants to [air] it.”
We know of one actress who is on board for the revival of the show, Lauren Graham:
