Lollapalooza’s Grant Park Repairs Nearly Double From Last Year

Thanks to a rainy August, Lollapalooza will be footing a massive bill to fix up Grant Park.

According to the Chicago Park District, repairs will cost $453,000 this year, which is nearly doubled from last year’s $236,000 worth of damages.

At first, the extra day added to the music festival this year didn’t seem to have made a big impact on the park, however, it was the weather following the show where the expense has come in.

A rainy August delayed the restoration of the park and washed away the original seed that was put down after the festival.

This year’s bill isn’t as bad as the $1 million in damages that happened after the 2011 festival (yikes!)!

And before anyone gets upset about the money coming from tax payers, don’t worry! Lolla’s promoter, C3 Presents, will foot the bill!
