We’ve heard Blake’s side of things since his divorce from Miranda Lambert, in the form of music anyways and we’d be remiss if we didn’t say we were curious to hear what Miranda had to sing about. There are no CONFIRMED reports that her next album will touch on her divorce, but regardless there is NEW music coming from Miranda and we couldn’t be more excited.
It’s called “The Weight of These Wings” and is set to drop Nov. 18th.
The first single off the album was “Vice” and as the lyrics clearly indicate, it’s about owning up to your faults. Talking about it, Miranda has said, “I think this song is an opportunity to just be honest and own it and say, ‘Yeah, I have some imperfections, and I live a life, and here and there I might get in a pickle… Everybody has a vice they run to when they need comfort, and I think that’s what this song says. There’s no mystery here. I run to things for comfort just like everybody else.”
PREVIOUSLY, she said there won’t be an album all about bad times she’s gone through. “I’m never gonna have an album that’s quote-unquote a ‘heartbreak album’. Because everybody has bad moments, and then you come out of it, and you have a great moment, and then you have some somber times,” Miranda said.
