Gilmore Girls Star Gives Details On Reboot: ‘I’m Going To Get In So Much Trouble For This!”

We’re less than two months away until Netflix releases Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. While that seems so close, it also seems so very far, which is why we’ll take ANY tidbit from the reboot that we can get…and Scott Patterson (Luke Danes) just gave us something juicy about his character’s relationship with Lorelai, played by Lauren Graham.

“What I can tell you is that we are together and we are figuring out our next move. There are definitely some fireworks there.” Danes admitted at the Entertainment Weekly’s pre-Emmys party. And, get ready for this: “We did some really intense adult scenes. Since the movies are only an hour and a half long it has way more detail and the writing is deeper and seems longer so it sort of changed,” Patterson said.

So, about those fireworks and ‘intense adult scenes’??

“There has been sexual tension for a long time. We are together, and I mean we don’t arm wrestle at night,” he continued. “It will be addressed again, and again, and again and then we have coffee…I’m going to get in so much trouble for this!”

This is really too much to handle!

However, it isn’t all fun and fireworks on the set of the reboot, because real-life heartbreak needs to be addressed.

“Fans are not expecting this, but it’s more a film now than it is a TV show. Also, Ed Herrmann passed away so we deal with that and that affects the whole dynamic. It affects all of the relationships.”

We’ve seen a heartbreaking photo from the set of the reboot, where Lorelai, Emily, and Rory are all at the cemetery, which we can only assume has to deal with Ed’s passing (he played Richard Gilmore on the show).

Netflix will release Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life on Friday, November 25th.
