In short: More music, less drama!
With the FANTASTIC news that Nashville was picked up by CMT, Nashville’s showrunner, Marshall Herskovitz, promises more character development and more music.
“To tell you the truth, I’m happier to be on CMT,” Herskovitz said of the upcoming season. “[Nashville] had these amazing characters — really, really strong characters…And the music … the idea of doing a show that has music as an integral part of it — it was just such a fascinating challenge for me!”
For him, the show is about music and the character, but not so much about the drama of past seasons, so that’s what fans should expect with the upcoming season.
“What I saw in the show was these bones of deep connections between these people, and that’s what we wanted to play up,” he continued. “To me, the heart of the show was the relationships and the love these people have for each other.”
What are your thoughts? Do you like the past season’s dramatics, or are you excited for a what’s to come?!
