Its been nearly 3 years since Brantley Gilbert’s “Just As I Am” album. To fans’ delight, he finally announced that he had new music coming in 2017, called “The Devil Don’t Sleep.”
It will feature 16 tracks, set to be released on January 27th.
I’m sure you’re curious (as we were) where the title of the album came from. Brantley has been sober for nearly 5 years now, but sobriety isn’t something you achieve and that’s it…
“Decisions are always there to make, and The Devil Don’t Sleep, for me, [means] always just being aware that I am an addict. I’m a recovering addict, but I’ll always be an addict. Those temptations are there. There’s a lot of roads that go left,” Brantley said.
The first single off the album? Well you hear us playing it now – called “The Weekend.”
