Kasper’s radio career began with an internship at his hometown station, WHOT, “Hot 101”. This led to a “board-op” role, then on-air weekend overnights, and eventually a full-time on-air position – all while also assuming a part-time on-air role at WBZZ “B94” in Pittsburgh, PA. From there it was time to move up the “radio ladder” with stops at stations in Erie, PA and Roanoke, VA.
In 2000, WAKS “96.5 KISS FM”, had just signed on in Cleveland, OH. Kasper was hired to be the station’s first ever Evening Host and Music Director. He would end up winning an A.I.R. Award for “Best Cleveland Night Show”, jockconference.com’s first ever “Aircheck Of The Year” award, and was nominated for “Top 40 Assistant Program Director/Music Director of the Year” and “Top 40 Personality of the Year” at the Radio Music Awards.
After 4 years at KISS, sister station WIOQ “Q102” in Philadelphia came calling and Kasper made the move to Philly as Q102’s Afternoon Drive Host.
Following a successful run at Q102, Kasper returned to Cleveland and assumed duties as Assistant Program Director/Music Director/Afternoon Host at 96.5 KISS FM . He was nominated for R&R Magazine’s “Music Director of the Year”, and was named one of “Cleveland’s Most Interesting People On Twitter” by MetroMix.com.
Most recently, Kasper has hosted afternoon drive at WRVQ “Q94” in Richmond, VA as well as being the station’s Assistant Program Director and Music Director.
Over the past 15 years, Kasper has also been syndicated across the country hosting a variety of different dayparts on stations such as KISS-XM 21, KHKS/Dallas, WHYI/Miami, WKST/Pittsburgh and KKRZ/Portland.
In his spare time, Kasper loves spending time with his wife Krissy, their three daughters Katie, Natalie and Emily – and their black lab Buffy. He’s also a huge sports fan, loves the outdoors and is a self-described “pop culture, tech and music geek.“
Listen to Kasper weekday afternoons on the ride home from 3-7p on US99*5
