The Pistol Annies may have helped break down a door for Angaleena Presley, but she doesn’t regret any of the time she’s spent waiting for her first major release, ‘American Middle Class.’
Since Pistol Annies — comprised of Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley — released their debut album Hell on Heels three years ago, both Lambert and Monroe have since continued their solo careers, though Presley had still nixed releasing her own debut solo record.
“‘Boys Round Here’ pretty much represents who I am as a human being,” Shelton said of his ACM Award-nominated hit. Songwriter Dallas Davidson and producer Scott Hendricks offer details on the story behind the song.
