Doobie Brothers Announce Lineup for Tribute Album ‘Southbound,’ Including Blake Shelton, Hunter Hayes
The Doobie Brothers are calling on many of their country friends for their tribute album Southbound, set to be released on Nov. 4.

In Nashville last night, nearly a dozen country artists performed at the annual We’re All 4 the Hall concert benefitting the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The show was hosted by Keith Urban and Vince Gill, and at the end of the show, Urban took the stage to announce that, while final numbers were still being tallied, the show had already raised more than $600,000.
“I thought it’ll be a cool, intimate evening on a large scale for people to learn something about songs they love,” Urban told Radio.com about tonight’s concert, which benefits the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

“This record came from such a beautiful place of reverence and respect,” Gill told Radio.com about “Bakersfield,” which was just issued in a deluxe version. “The fact that Merle [Haggard] wrote the liner notes and got to hear it, that to me was reason enough for making it.”
